Updated August 28, 2020

During this pandemic, all of us in the Los Angeles region have relied on essential workers in a range of occupations and industries, and that extra demand has led to increased hiring demand in some cases.  What are those occupations and are our talent development systems like the community colleges preparing enough job-seekers for those jobs?

This topic will be the subject of the upcoming CCW report, to be released near the end of calendar year 2020.  As usual, CCW will profile specific occupations, describe the skills needed, indicate which colleges have programs, identify the wages and other metrics that describe this workforce, and provide insights to help guide program development for instruction so that college faculty can support these career paths as best as possible.

The report will be posted here at the CCW website and an introductory webinar will cover the main findings.  Stay tuned!
