CCW is hosting a faculty professional development working session on Esports, the final one in a series of three, April 30, 2021 from 1pm to 2pm.
This is a closed meeting for community college faculty and employers only.
This meeting will examine trends in Esports occupations in Los Angeles, and facilitate dialogue with our region’s community colleges regarding programs and certificates, and will help develop partnerships between employers seeking a talent pipeline and our region’s college programs.
We look forward to a presentation from Riot Games, followed by LACC Dean of Academic Affairs Dr. Vi Ly, and a robust discussion on how to activate everything we’ve learned in this series. We will dedicate significant time to a discussion around the potential for a LA County community college Esports league as well.
